having read John's latest allotments diary that makes good reading and very informative however as a chemical user myself i do try other organic products to see if they are effective and stick to them but as i said I do use chemicals mainly chemical fertilizers for brassicas and potato crops as well as onions and root crops also been trialling chicken pellets on some crops
I am trying an organic based garlic and chilli spray on our brassicas but as i said its on a trial basis but it has show some effect on hosta's but its yet to prove its any good for our brassicas including the organic slug pellets I'm also of the opinion the when spraying the garlic and chilli spray one needs to spray round the base of the plant as well as the leaves both top and underneath the leaves to make it more effective and we spray every two to three week intervals
