Adverisments
« on: October 20, 2024, 08:03 »
Hello does any one know how to get rid of these stupid advertisements off this site ,every time I come on the content of every page has an advert either covering the content or between each post very frustrating especially when theres a advert for an adblicker that has to be paid for ,assuming that this is run by this site, if the adverts continue I will be deleting this site permanently ,getting pig sick of not being able to read a full post with out having to  press a little cross in the corner to tell why the ad is not needed that then takes to another site which wants this site to down loaf an app to remove the ads ,free to set the app up but £1.99  a month ,is this a scam on this site    jezza

Jezza - the stupid adverts pay the hosting bill, the software maintenance etc.

The more people who use ad-blockers, the more the normal advert fees fall. To compensate Google serves the full page, click to dismiss ads every 10 minutes.

Unlike social media (facebook etc.) where you are the product, we don't try a glean info about you and sell it on. The ads are simply that, ads.

The way things are going at the moment, it could come to a paywall or be much limited, which would cost a lot less to run. Or maybe we're just trying to stem the tide of big business and have as much luck as Canute.

Hello would it not be easier to get rid of all the ads and have a subscription fer instead, I know that I would rather pay a subscription to this site than spend half the time clicking the little cross on the advert then have to go off the site and re  login then find the next useless advert covers another post ,,deleting this site if improvementscarent made to remove these ads    jezza

The adblocker says its fred to sign up then asks for bank account details ,the and blockercsetvice should say it's a paid service and not make out it's free

So the freeloader enabler isn't honest? Oh well, give them your bank account details and I'm sure it will be fine.. mostly.. with luck
