hi all  thanks very much for previous suggestions, very helpful.

now im confused about a precautionary measure with regards to parasitres?

surely i dont need all the things suggested, i already have a redmite powder that i will dust the birds with, will this do to dust the house as well?

or do i need some diatom or poultry sheild for the house?

I'm going for a belt and braces approach and using a bit of everything ...

With redmite in particular, you can never be too careful!  When I get them, I clean the house out first with Jeyes fluid, once that has dried, I then spray everywhere with poultryshield then dust the birds and new bedding with Barrier redmite powder.  But I will one day try Diatom as I hear so many good things about it.

thanks, we havent actually got redmite, just wanted to know what i could do to prevent it!
