My early potatoes have all now flowered and are starting to turn yellow my question is how long can you leave them in the ground.

but bear in mind that the longer you leave them in the more likely it is that slugs will munch on them :(

They are ready to eat now, probably have been for a couple of weeks, lift them and use them as your needs dictate.      The freshest and best flavoured pots are those eaten as quickly as possible from harvest to plate.      Earlies don't store as well as main crop not that I know this from personal experience as we always eat the earlies well early.
Do you really need al that lettuce/
