Ceramic Watering Cones from Poundland
« on: July 17, 2009, 15:37 »
Poundland are selling a set of four of these, they consist of a hollow porous ceramic cone that you fill with water. replace a plastic cap with a tube attached that you stick in a receptacle filled with water.

Shove the pointed end of the cone into the plant pot, it  seeps water into the pot and is automatically filled up again with water from the receptacle. Sounds complicated but it isn't,at four for a poundit's worth having a look at them.

I don't bother with the pipe etc, I just stick the cone in the neck of a plastic bottle filled with water, turn it upsidedown and push into the plant pot.

p.s The chutney book arrived today John. I only ordered it yesterday afternoon. Great service as usual.
