Title: heavy door can I use it?

Just rescued a solid heavy door from skip made from 2 layers plank type wood bolted together would like to use as lotty gate but how would I hang it. it has gate type hinges
ideas please

It depends what you intend to hang it on and a picture paints a thousand words if you can get one of the gate and the post.

I will prize the camera off oh and have ago at downloading. nothing to hang it off lotty i very new need ideas for post etc

You could obtain a heavy duty 8 foot x 4 inch sq. wooden fencing stob/post, hammer that into the ground with a fencing maul (or sledgehammer at a push if you can't get hold of a maul), then hang your "gate" off that. :)
