Wayward Black Russian tomatoes

Grown two from free seeds. The potted one has more of a cordon growth and not doing great, but the one in the GH bed has gone ballistic. Despite nipping out as you do, I now have more of a bush which is shading my other cordon tom behind it and growing out over my GH path! BR toms apparently need really keeping in check so should I cut off some of the side growth not only to curb its growth but to allow some more light for my other one?

Hi Gg, I have stripped off a lot of the lower leaves on my toms and any leaf that crosses over into its neighbour I trim with sharp scissors, not the whole leaf just enough to let the light through, cheers Dave

Thanks for your replies but it seems to have grown like a bush tom with big sideshoots coming out everywhere. As it's now August, I think I may just trim off the lower bigguns.
