Orchid:  Maxillaria tenuifolia (narrow-leaved Maxillaria, or coconut orchid)

Flowers are about 3 - 4 cm across.  Smells like a day at the beach, with a scent exactly like coconut tanning oil. I've had this one about 5 years now.  Grows indoors when cold, outdoors when warm or hot.  Not sure from the preview whether the photo is attached or not(?)

Yes it is & very pretty too

Love that bog garden!

Thank you, it’s only small, well there’s 2 actually, one either side of the pond, I do have to water it frequently though to keep it wet but there is pond liner at the bottom with a few holes spiked into it

Pacific giant delphiniums looking good this year despite the mixed weather - one year I'll remember which plant has which colour flowers and introduce a few new ones (hopefully this pic will help me remember!)

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

A random plant that survived from bulbs I planted a couple of years ago, first time it's flowered! Guessing it's some kind of Lilly? If it ain't edible I ain't a clue ;)

Lovely, JayG - I've given up growing trying to grow them, only had a couple of good years since I moved here 13 years ago. No matter what slug pellets I use, I even bought Nematodes one year, they still just get decimated so no more for me :(

Yes mum, if the snails get there first it's curtains, at least for that year, and I've had a couple of close calls, but refuse to be outwitted by a mere mollusc!

Thought I'd take a picture of my David Austen 'Jubilee Celebration' in case it gets nobbled by a thunderstorm.

I can almost smell its wonderful scent from here!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Another one of my orchids: Epilaeliocattleya 'Golden Sunburst'.  An intergeneric hybrid.
It has a fragrance as sunny as the color.
