Newfies at New Year.
« on: January 02, 2014, 11:05 »
The two Newfoundland Landseers Phoebe and Harry have really settled down, they are putting on weight and are now almost house trained. As a treat we took them to the beach yesterday and luckily for us the bad weather held off until we were all on our way home.

Staffies are softer than you think.

Lovely  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Glad they've settled in....and (nearly) stopped leaving hillocks for you to trip over! ;)

Nice to see them where they're best at home... at the water. If the Landseers are anything like the N. Retrievers, they're just big loveable furry babies.  :D

Yes they are, the Newfoundland breed are known as The Gentle Giants of the dog world. It is because they are so gentle that the whole of the mastiff group of dogs were not added to the list of banned dogs when our government was planing on expanding the banned list to include all dogs with a large bite.

I never understand those who are so eager to ban things they don't understand. Personally, I can think of a lot of small breed dogs that I'd love to see banned because they're vicious little  brutes.
