You gave your advice on how to do things, I'd given mine.

I'm only saying that your way is not the only way of doing things.

We don't have to agree  ;)

Good luck with the new plot! Have you got a place in mind for a compost heap, or have I just missed it in your plan?

We do all garden very differently and none of us are wrong in what we suggest, you'll find someone will always do it differently :)

Oh, other things I have in my plot that you might want:

A bed for herbs and one for comfrey.

Things in my plot you do not want:

Docks, nettles, creeping buttercup, slugs, a massive drainage ditch.

I agree with some, but not all of both arguments.  Perhaps I'm a weed sitting on the fence ;)

Suppose all my recent articles submitted to Aunt Sally will be worthless then...

I have to admit I haven't posted those yet, Gavin, as I've had some very pressing personal tasks BUT I fully intend to post them as they are good.

Just remember what works for someone else may not work for you. People hate our defined beds on our plot but we love them and they work, you'll just need to experiment and tweak as you go.

Make a list of the top foods you eat and dedicate more space to them  ;)

Thanks all for your comments, I'll take on board what you have all said.

I appreciate the time gavinjconway took too revise the plan, definetly given me some food for thought. I also checked out your blog very impressive.

Thanks mumofstig, it's nice to hear that there are differnet ways of doing things. Wouldn't it be boring if all our plots looked the same!!

- The compost heaps and comfrey are all on the plot already, just forgot them on the plan!
