Dug up the final 4 rows of spuds yesterday, results the same as before. I got lots of spuds, but they are all quite small. Very few of them are what you would call normal size spuds. Think next year I will try a couple of rows in bags and see what results I get, can't be any worse then this year.

 I always use low nitrogen fertilizer Miggs we  get quite a good crops although we do get a few small potatoes I used to give them away but now I scrape them and get the wife to put them in the oven after boiling them for short time a little bit of flavouring and salt sprinkled over the top lovely grub

the size  well  our spuds are around the size of a tea mug always grow desiree but I'm changing  to cara next year done some trials this year and cara proved slightly better than Desiree

but I wouldn't plant a spud without using fertilizer because it would be a waste of my  time and effort and I have to say we had the best crop of fir apple we have ever grew
