my shed roof leaks despite newish felt which my old man put on. It leaked so he put battens on top of the felt. Still leaked but now he's lost interest so I have to try and repair it. Trouble is I have no head for heights. Could I try painting the felt with some bitumen paint on a long roller, or just tarping the whole darn thing? It's a pent roof one :?

Hi Compost queen,there are products available that you can paint on,however i have never tried them.I would imagine that a pent roof would be no higher than 8 ft ,have you tried using a step ladder.I have found that the thinner the felt the easier it is to work with,however it will not last so long.A pent roof should be easier than an apex roof.
