The new pigs are here (well, almost)
« on: May 07, 2011, 08:45 »
Two of the new weaners arrived yesterday.  Two sows - saddleback/Oxford Sandy and Black X.   They are, as ever, incredibly cute.

Hubby has gone off to fetch the other 4 today - these again are all sows and are pure Berkshires.   He should be back within the hour so will be going along to see them shortly.

Photos will be following!

The last four went off to slaughter on Tuesday and are being butchered tomorrow.  I was going to go along for the butchery again but have decided against it as I have far too much to do on the allotment.  Am hoping to get it all done today but as rain is threatened am not sure if I will get the whole afternoon there.
I always find that work gets in the way of life.
