hi we ve been looking for a poly tunnel for a few weeks now and wow how expensive.just got two for less than half the price of one.so now iv got 20ft of tunnel is it to early to start planting in them or should we still follow the advice on the seed packets.thanks. :oops:  :?  now got all the gear no idea

no sorry.they are 6x10ft .4 air vents with fly screens and a roll up door.uv protected.cheap and cheerful bog standard.

Like tall cloche which you peg to the ground?   Or like a polytunnel which has got hoops permanently sunk/concreted into the ground?

walk in size.hoops.permanent.around 6ft high.do you know something i should know.its for our allotment we didnt want to spend £400 so yes they are cheap but we think they should do the job.

The line of questioning was to determine how readily you might be able/willing to heat any seeds you did germinate.  It is fairly easy to partition an area inside a permanent walk-in polytunnel.

Many people make the mistake of starting too early, leading to the combined problem of heating costs, damping off and leggy/spindly plants.

Check your seed packet instructions carefully but do ask about specific veg on these forums before you sow.  :D
