I am battling with weeds, on my allotment (paths) as well as at home (between patio flag stones)

At the allotment I can live with the weeds, then after the growing season (my first) I can let the weeds grow big, then spray with Roundup. Next year, I'll be more 'on top of the weeds' too.

The patio is causing my wife problems ... which for some reason end up with me.

I think the best way, would be to spray now with Roundup (available cheaply at my local allotment shop)

Now I need a decent sprayer, with the ability to spray under leaves etc, so I need one with a separate hose.

is this one any good ?

Arte there any other alternatives ... I can visit the local DIY stores, but they always seem to be very expensive

I've got one of these, actually 2, I keep one for clean water and one for weedkiller, and they are as good as any other one costing more. 

I was unlucky with a cheap one and it split with the pressure, but I suppose that is a chance you take.

we got one I think asda. Look at supermarkets/wilkos online, also the range if near one. Weedkiller was ebay and it kills everything, so not used in windy weather.
I prefer to use a patio scrapper whilst on the kneeling mat. (Lidl)
