Title: electric propagators

I hope to get a "new propagator" and I have narrowed it down to the Garland big 3 and the stewart 52 cm thermostatic controled  have any one used these or would advise one over the other ? thanks

we use heat mats through out our green house, as they provide valuable bottom heat,and saves having to heat the whole green house.
I would say go for as bigger mat/propagator as you can afford as you will be running short of space very quickly, especially this time of year.

I am not sure if this should be in "frugal living" or not but it is valid here.
I saw a tip on a chilli pepper website about using the mats they use for reptiles.
I bought a 4ft by 1ft heat mat for under £20 including postage off ebay. Far cheaper than a gardening one!
