I’ve always believed that you should make sure the doors and all the vents are shut to help a greenhouse survive a storm. The rationale is that once the winds get in, they force the glass out and the whole greenhouse is in trouble in short order. It turns out I may have been wrong, at least in part.

Oh no
I just used a photo of the one that was blown down to illustrate. I thought it was interesting what Jeff was telling me about over pressure causing the greenhouse to blow out, so I wanted to share it.

When our conservatory was being built, there were some unglazed walls etc., and I queried this just as you did!
The constructor was right in saying that it didn't matter, and after some heavy gusts, he was quite right!
