At the moment, on my sprout plants, the sprouts cant be any bigger than a small blackcurrant or something similar, with the weather conditions only getting worse, will they keep getting bigger or should i rip them out and get the soil ready for next year?

Mine are the same. I've never grown them before so I don't have any idea what they should be doing. I have plenty of space so I'm just going to leave them be & keep an eye on them.

Patience. If the plants are otherwise looking OK then give them time. You are not gaining a  lot by digging that bit of garden in any case -- you can always catch up and if you are desperate to be working then I will, just for you, let you come and get mine ready.
Seriously -- sprouts continue to grow as the wetather gets colder -- that is what they do. Just support against wind rock and keep tidy around them - feeding a little bit but not too much might help

Yes I'd leave them in, its early yet and sprouts are hardy.

You might have sweet little button sprouts for a celebration dinner in December.  ::)

Dont forget the tops will be worth eating even if the sprouts dont come to much but dont see why they shouldn't be lovely.  :)

My sprouts are the same, ashamed to say I grew them last year as well and got some decent stuff, just can't remember where they were at this time of year. Must get a diary.

Don't worry.

Look on the plus side - they've not blown.

Even if they stall now, you can get some good ones early spring, just be quick!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Me and my neighbour have shared some sprout seedlings this yr.

None of mine have blown (yet) but all of his have.

The only thing difference i know of is that i always us lime and he doesnt.

I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

"- feeding a little bit but not too much might help"

Nice topic.  We've got about 5 sprout plants as well and it's my first time growing them.  Hoping they'll be ready for Christmas day!!  When you say feeding them might help, what do you mean?  Somone on here has mentioned lime.  I've got a bag of fish blood and bone, would that be any good?  Also, they all seem to be growing at different rates even though they were planted at the same time??  Anyone else experiencing this?

Can you remember  the variety.

Growing at different rates is usually a benifit of growing a non F1

No idea what F1 sprouts are although I'd imagine them to be pretty fast?  :D
