Good morning all,
We are growing honeydew melon in our poly tunnel. (Seeds saved from store bought melon).
They've got to the stage now were they're growing along the ground now rather than growing up.
Is there anything we need to do, or can do to help them along? All we've done is plant and water.
Thanks

Good morning ches, I'm in exactly the same boat. A lot of my melon seedlings didn't make it by being swamped by tomatoes, but I have three left. I set a large piece of wide mesh hoping they would grow up it but I'm having to convince them to go that way.
Cheers, Tony.

Ive just been reading on gardeners world that they should be encouraged to grow up. I always thought you grew them like a squash along the ground. I may try one along the ground and one up a stake (I dont have any Mesh)

[UPDATE] I now have a flower on one of the melons!!

I have a piece of wood across the greenhouse to which I have dangled wire down and tied them to it - * need tying to the wire. As fruits develop will need netting to support them also tied top piece of wood.
