[Enfield Glen]

I have grown Asters over the allotment for several years now and last year and this year they grow to about a foot high and then just give up an die, last year I put it down to the heat. but its happening again this year. They are in partial shade this year and are getting watered daily along with everything else, any ideas whats wrong?
