I was chatting with a lovely chum last evening, we went on for ages, talking about this and that as we do, and we both discovered that we had this insect, (or whatever a 'moth' is in legal terms), getting at our vegetables, mainly PSB, and funnily enough, courgettes, and even after Googling the issue, we couldn't work out what or where it came from!

I know that the pong of mothballs used to permeate the wardrobes of ancient relatives, but to have one's veg attacked by a similar pest seems very odd! 

Has anyone else got this problem?

Ah, the ubiquitous trouser moth! I believe it originated in America (sorry, don't know the zip code) and it's type of fly (get it?!) now quite common in Britain. It has a unique way of mimicking other pests but is immune to most pesticides at the moment. It can completely decimate PSBs and other related crops. As to utilizing moth balls, I didn't know they had any but it's always worth a try.
