My irises have thrived for the last 10 years in a well drained sunny bed. Every year I get a stunning display of flowers but this year I had only one! The foliage looks healthy, just no flowers. Does anyone know what has gone wrong and if there is anything I can do to get them flowering next year?

Do the rhizomes need dividing? They tend not to flower if they have a lot of old bits crowding the bed out.

I dont think so. They are not confined so have just spread out from where they were planted. I was wondering if it may be due to the abysmal weather we hve had this year?

I think it's the weather that had delayed or stopped flowers this year. My aquilegias have only just come into full bloom.
