Good evening everyone, hasn't it been a lovely day?  Just steeling (cannot seem to spell braising) ourselves for more rain.  Anyroadup...

Came back from the Chinese supermarket after an annual visit,  this time we managed to evade 'the red mist' and kept our purchases down to 'normal' what was on the list.  We forgot the Nasi Goering paste (not on the list).

We love Udon noodles and I thought I'll Gurgle where the name comes from.  Why oh why... can't Gargle give a straight answer to a straight question?

We did break the shopping trip midway through with a lunch upstairs.  The Memsahib isn't keen on dim sum, but overall a nice meal.

My daughter does the local asian shop in Leicester as well as other local stores as soysauce,panko breadcrumbs and noodles are cheap. She also buys rolled beef,bao buns and other interesting things.
