Although Mrs Growster is the expert here, she just uses cooked chicken, shredded coarsely, thawed of course or out of the fridge from the day before, dried apricots (soaked), sultanas, a little onion and mayonnaise - Hellmans or similar. The curry addition is usually a medium heat.
I've just asked her what else goes in, and it appears that it's just that lot, stirred maybe with a little double cream, and no more cooking required!
