No room left loads of sweetcorn!!   ::)  thinking of planting it amongst my strawberries?? ;)

Personally, I think it'll suck every bit of nutrient it can away from from your strawberries. Weeds usually struggle to grow amongst mine.

I have interplanted between sweetcorn , lettuces and they are doing fine

Lettuce are a fast growing "catch crop" and can be out before the plants get too big. We are talking plants that need to be around for at least 3 years.

In my limited experience, strawberries are useless with any kind of competition. I guess that's the real reason they are always mulched.
Sweetcorn and beans are supposed to be good togeether, but I think they will need a lot of watering.
