Ok Thank you. So am i correct then once it has flowered hack it right back and it may flower again, will that be ok? if so whats the best way to go about this?  My garden is swamped with it too so ill have to get rid of a lot of it as it's spreading like nothing ive seen before. Sorry for all the qs x

i was given some of this and its a quiet monster , looks nothing for ages then its covered in flowers probably better contained in tubs .

Could be Geranium magnificum, though think their flowers are a deeper colour. Probably the wild variety, but should be easy enough to dig out.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

These are the Terminator of the plant world, I removed the flower bed, they grew in the lawn, I mowed them down but they grew back the following spring before the first cut. Why can't veg be like that!
