yay i have just put a deposit on a lovely (secondhand) coop and run. my local chicken and poultry dealer is changing all his chicken runs to the same make, so he sold me a practicly new one for £75 instead of £250 when new. we will be picking it up during the week, just need some chickens now lol.

That's a great bargain. How many chickens are you going to get and what breed. Unless you are going to let them free range your chickens will need at least 2 Mts. square each in the run so that may help you decide how many.

hi, im only planning on having 4 chickens but the coop/run is made to take 9-10  large chickens, so i think they will be very happy chooks. they will be let into the garden area aswell just not every day, more during the summer months when i will be out there to watch over them. i havent decided what chickens to get yet, there are so many, i used to have bantams which i bought as hatching eggs and reds but i havent decided yet.
