Still getting my new plot ready so cannot plant anything yet but want to try garlic. Can I start garlic now in pots and then plant out later? If so, when should I plant out and any advice?

i planted some in my back garden in one big pot back in december and they have shoots starting to appear

Hi,

I put some bulbs in pot about 3 weeks ago in a greenhouse and have just planted them out (advice from this site), amazingly the roots were already growing out of the bottom of the pots and they were poking through.

There is a video on here about putting them into pots if you are a bit late planting out, let me see if I can find it and I will post a link,

I put my garlic in modules last month as the ground was saturated and I didn't want to run the risk of them rotting. They're still sat in my cold greenhouse.
