I have made Liver cake as a treat for my dogs-
350gm sliced liver
3 eggs
a good blob of runny honey

Liquidise all together- watch for the ´fatty´ bits that might get caught up in the blades

Add wholemeal flour and a little olive or sunflour oil, mix to a thick batter
Spread on a tin lined with greased tinfoil
Bake in oven 180 deg until firm.
Cool, chop and freeze, dogs  love them!

Pamela

ps been told it can be cooked in the microwave

Oliveview, that sounds absolutely fantastic. Just have to try that. Might make our dogs love me as much as OH again: at the moment they're struggling to understand why I can dig in the vegetable patch but they can't!

mine love liver cake, I make a huge batch, cut it into 1 inch cubes and freeze it in smaller batches. mine is a similar recipe to Pamelas.
Staffies are softer than you think.

My ex employers had a doberman and a big mountain dog. Now this is in Kenya where Kibble doesn't really exist. They use to boil down rice & meat (scraps from butchers) (I think with some Veg) and that was what the dogs lived on, very happily.

I have only ever had x breed rescue dogs  :D

they eat anything - cheap , quality , raw , wet , dry and even the a few treats from icelands freezer cabinets

most of the breed dogs that cost £100's to buy cost you £100's to feed and £100's in vet bills are so interbred their unhealthy which is why they have so many dietary issues

rescue a x breed - just a donation required and a healthy friend for 15 years +
here's my current 2 rescue girls
