Keep it clean    Yesterday, he bought me 2 x  growbags, they are by a company called Durstons in Somerset.
They were £1.50 each and delivered to my door.    Is that a good price for them ?   Plus I didn't have to carry them home.

Without trying to be a kill joy or health safety nut.  Delivering compost and then handling other food stuff isn't really the best.

The guidelines for anyone whom handles compost to wash their hands after wards. I can't see your milky being able to wash his hands after dropping off compost with the possibility of transferring bacteria to milk bottles and other items destined for the kitchen.

Sospan, your post is a little disproportionate, given that the rare case you linked to related to someone who failed to wash their hands after handling actual compost and before eating.

The milkman in question is handling compost bags. Not actual compost.

Someone could do with a day helping out in a milking parlour !   

The world outside of a milk carton is not sterile so even if the milkman has hand sanitiser on tap there will be germs on the cartons.

I have always done well with Durstons compost , 3 x 60ltr for £12 delivered by a local plant nursery who also runs a dairy !

Compost is difficult to get if you don't drive etc, but selling the stuff as you bought it is a godsend for many, so well done you!

We used to have a dairy a few yards away, and they always sold bread, butter etc, so nobody ever starved!

He deserves a good Ch******s box - or maybe a wrestle..;0)
