Tips on feeding
« on: July 25, 2009, 14:21 »
Hi
I have found myself a bit of a problem.
My hens are at various ages, 2 'layers', 4 'growers' (12 - 14 weeks), and 1 back on crumbs as not growing well.
Im having difficulty with appropriate feeds as they all insist on feeding together (whatever I put down they all go for) the one on crumbs is easy as can separate her throughout the day.
Any tips, should I mix layers and growers pellets together then they all get at least some appropriate feed, or will this make my layers fat.
They free range and really do not like being shut in the coop.

Thanks Jo
