Has anyone had experience of this incubator - could not believe the price of £35!!!
Spoke to the chap selling it at Alphahatch and he thought that it would be ideal for a back garden keeper - but then i suppose he would say that.
Would be nice to know if anyone has experience of this.

the only prob i can see with it is every time you need to turn thr eggs and candle them
you will lose all your heat and humidity it runs on a 60 watt golf ball bulb
its the same as this one

yes this is true but i remember reading somewhere that when using an incubator heat lose is more of a problem
you have to maintain a temp of 47.2 c 102 f
the eggs can take a drop in temp but you must not go over the 102 f
this will kill the chicks
but the most impotent thing is humidity this must be kept right
to little or to much will effect your hatch rate
this site has some good info

Erm, little bit of there which may explain your problem incubating.
102f = 38.8c

The bloke that was selling it said that in this country is is not really required to increase humidity except in the last 3 days of incubation. He suggested that i should run the incubator dry until then.
What are the thoughts on this suggestion?
