spider mite control
« on: October 01, 2008, 23:05 »
Last year i had bad spider mite in my potting shed cum greenhouse, so last Winter i removed all plants and used Jeyes all over and washed down and then a sulphur candle and this year not a single mite, Great  :D

However i also have very bad spider mite on a 'twisty baby' Robinia tree outside, what are the thoughts about either spraying with Jeyes in the Winter when it is dormant or putting a plastic sheeting over it, blocking all gaps and putting a sulphur candle under this to kill the spider mites before they kill the tree.  It has been in 2 years and is about 7ft high with a spraed of about 3 feet. Will either the Jeyes or the sulphuer candle kill the tree if i do it over Winter when dormant?

Used to be indecisive, now i'm not so sure...

No ideas really but surprised the spider mites are outside. I thought they liked it warm and dry!
