Sowed my first lot of leeks on 20th March in modules - 3 to 4 seeds per module. Planted out the modules late April and sowed a second lot hoping to stagger the length of the season (and get early ones). Planted out second lot early June. All seem to be doing well and the first lot are almost at the usable stage (if you like thin leeks).

I did mine last week, I used to put in after the early potatoes came out but found that I never really got any size to them plus as I also have to net them with enviromesh to protect against leek moth/thrip I find they are better suited to the carrot & parsnip bed so I just net the lot.

Sown in February, planted in May. Seem to be doing well, I'll be putting the mesh over them next week.

Put mine in a couple of days ago.
It is the first time I've grown them for a number of years as the leaf miner became a problem, this year they are under a mesh tunnel with the ends and sides firmly dug in. Hopefully that will keep them at bay.

My main crop were sown early March and growing on nicely now.

However I just lurve baby leeks for things like spud, leek n bacon ravioli so I ave just sown two rows worth of seed which will be ready to go in once my peas are done and follow them.

I planted mine out about three weeks ago after I came back from my holiday. They seem to be doing well so far.
