Hi folks - can anyone shed light on the whethers and wherefores of using green manure (in my case, mustard) in advance of using a bed for root vegetables.  Does green manure cause fanging / forking in the way that farmyard / horse manure does when root crops are planted? Or is green manure a different beast altogether and root crops won't be affected by fanging / forking? Anyone tried root crops following green manuring? Thanks in anticipation!
