Well done you, what are the small purple and green leaved things in the leek picture? I assume weeds but what? they have suddenly appeared on my plot

Oxalis - a darn nuisance.
Seeds go everywhere when the pods explode.

Great stuff weathergirl; well done!
Thanks for putting a name to one of my more annoying weeds DD; not got it all over the place but it's a swine to pull out, it breaks off instead of coming out cleanly (just like chickweed) and is a bit too chunky to hoe off easily either.

They are weeds but nuisance weeds. Not sure what they are !
Just noticed somewhat put Oxalis - Thanks !

All looking good, it's my 1st proper year of growing and I'm amazed at how sowing such tiny seeds can grow into such great veg, you should be proud of what you've got there

Ha ha, it really is true a weed is just a plant in the wrong place. We had some oxalis come up in the garden but it didn't show this year so my mum had me go to the garden centres to find that "nice plant with the browny purple leaves and the pretty yellow flowers".
Weathergirl your veg looks fabulous, I hope my cabbage and broccoli grow up to be just like yours :)
