Mr too. Just discovered a minor bindweed problem. A guy at the site said 'just dig it up'. I've tried this before and have never been able to dig deep enough!

Dig, spray, curse, untangle, dig, spray, burn, swear.....

The joys of bindweed and brambles.....
Very often quite lost- would be more lost if I could work out where I was!- But always find my way home.....

Dont you get strange looks  when you start photographing the produce?  :D :D
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Just for info the weeds take 28 days to kill, the reason you see the leafs die is due to them adding acid (Very mild) to make it look like its working.

I've found its best to buy the straight chemical with no additives, and then just add a bit of washing up liquid to help it stick to the leafs.
Graham = 2x Border collie Dogs, 2x Cats, 1x Wife, 2x Kids, 2x Hamsters and now 10x chickens.

Anyone know how long this stuff takes to wash out of the ground? I'd love to keep the ground 'pure' but roundup is so amazing for things like bindweed and other persistent weeds.

Roundup and Weedol are inert when they hit the ground. So basicly spray and then wait 3 days is the recomended.

But as I said above buy the active killing agent in Roundup and Weedol which is glyphosate its cheaper and better, but remember it only kills the plants were the spray is absorb through the leaves. So for the weeds that are designed to make the water run off and into the roots, then add a bit of washing up liquid to keep the leaves with the killer on.
