Title: I'm back!
Post by: Snap Dragon on May 12, 2016, 00:19
Hi all

I haven't been here for nearly 4 years but as we are hoping to move home soon and our new garden has a very small veggie plot the first place I thought to visit was here!

I see there are lots of new 'faces' here and some names I recognize too! I've had another sprog since I was last here, she is now 2 and a half, so I've been rather busy being a Mum to her and the other girls who are now 11 and 14  :)

Solicitor hopes to have the move sorted for about 5 weeks time so I'm having a think as to what I can plant now and take with me to pop in the new plot.

I'll have a good old mooch round the site in the morning and see whats new but it's lovely to be back  :D

Hiya and welcome back. Amber, our blind cat, is still going strong. Sounds like you've got your hand full with 3 girls - a toddler, a nearly teenager and a teenager at that! We're grandparents now to a nearly 3 year old lad (3 this coming Sunday). Good luck with the new vegetable plot.

Hi Val

Thanks for the welcome  :)

Congrats on the grandson, 3 is a lovely age, full of wonder at the world opening up before them.

Glad Amber is doing well... I still have Ginger, the cat I adopted from Cara, he's still very vocal and a bit of a bully but my other 2 mogs (and hubby) put up with him!  ;)

As well as the grandson, we've also got Dexter, Pixie, Lillah, Willow, Rufus and Lottie all courtesy of Cara as well as Amber! How on earth she conned us into that amount of cats I don't know ::) ::) ::). Cara is now living near us in North Wales so you're safe as far her finding homes for cats is concerned! (Well maybe).

Welcome back from me too - hopefully the site upgrade will be live in the next week - over 60 new pages on it!

It even works on mobile phones

Hiya Snappy. Is it really four years - I can't believe it! Good to have you back again and I hope the house sale all goes smoothly.

Congratulations on a new not-so-baby-now. Lovely!

Thank you all for your warm welcomes...

We are at the moment packing up the house into a million boxes... I'm beginning to regret being such a hoarder!!

My garden is full of pots that will move to my Mums who will be within a few minutes walking distance from the new house before we move and will then return to the new garden after.

I have some strawberry plants in pots ready to go in the ground when we get there but I hope there will be time for me to get some other veg planted too.

You sound pretty well organised Snappy but there are always all those "bits" that don't make the last of the packing very easy. We still have a couple of boxes of such hoardings from when we had our extension built 11 years ago, and it is amazing what we unearth from time to time. Some of it is junk but lots is homeless treasure lol

Good luck with it all!!

I moved 6+ years ago.  There are still 2 packing boxes which remain unpacked in the second bedroom, on top of the blanket box.

What can I say, they're the perfect height for the trays of seedlings ...  ::)
