My sweetcorn (F1 Kelvedon Glory) are coming along great at the moment, they are roughly 3-4ft high, however, for some reason they have started to grow new shoots at the bottom of the plant, and when say new shoots I mean like a new sweetcorn plant is growing??? ::)
Is this where the start of my cobs will be, or some underlying problem, I have looked everywhere for an answer, but I cant find what im looking for, can anyone please help?

Break it to him gently & tell him his peas are doing "Champion"! He'll understand!

Hi, I also have sweetcorn that look like they have more than one plant growing from the same root. I planted Extra Tender & Sweet F1 Hybrid by Thompson & Morgan. The plants are in beautiful condition and it looks like I am going to have a bumper crop...Hope this helps some?
