Last year I had loads of Agapanthus in bloom.

This year I have none in bloom it just green leaves with no flowers.

Any idea why none are in bloom this year?

Agapanthus likes only a moderately fertile soil which must be well drained, otherwise, you get lots of green growth and no flowers. It also needs full sun all day unless you live in hot places like Greece or Africa. Regular watering is also important but never to the point of bog conditions.
Check your growing conditions to see if any of these are factors.

I bunged some sulphate of potash on mine at some point in the spring, and it flowered for the first time.  I have no idea whether the two are linked at all

I've no idea whether there's any care needed after the flower has disappeared - the leaves stay green all year on mine, but i guess the flower spike will need cutting off so it doesn't exhaust energy on running to seed???
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
