one of my hens has worms

hi all im new to the site my names is john, im a first time owner of 15 hens and 1 cockerel now my question is one or more of my hens have worms as i have found them in the droppings now a lad who has an allotment next to mine gave me antec multi vitamins would this help with worming or is it for something else as he said its what he uses for his chickens and pigeons and advised me not to use the eggs prior to using it,can anyone help with what i need thanks john.

Hi i got some fubenvet from cwg in worksop . they told me that this is the best one thats around , i dont know for sure as im new but peeps on here recommend it

The multi vitamins will have no effect of the worms - they'll probably like it  ;)

You'll need to treat them with a wormer !

OH and for got to say i hope you like the site ,every ones great as you will  find out ..

with the flubenvet it says it has no withholding period for chickens producing eggs for human consumption  . so im taking you can eat them when using it ..
  What ant sally put on tells you every thing you need to know . Good luck with them  ;)

thanks for the advice,now would the eggs that have been layed today be ok for human consumption as i put the multivitamins in there water, or should i throw the eggs away?

Multivitamins in the eggs shouldn't affect humans in a negative way as we all need them anyway. Try apple cidar vinegar in their water every weekend to prevent worms recurring once you've got rid of them with the wormer.  ;)

thanks for everyones help ive ordered some flubenvet to cure the worms,then il try the apple cidar and vineger,but how much do i require for a 5ltr water feeder?

I use 25ml of apple cidar vinegar per litre of water every weekend. They don't seem to notice the taste and drink it as normal water. I'd go for the organic version to keep it as pure as possible.  ;)

well all my hens are all worm free went of the lay a little bit,9 eggs last few days untill today when i got 13 so hopefully be back to 13 to 15 a day thanks for everyones advice.
