Post by: chrissie B on January 23, 2014, 23:26
the lean adverts of the new year , is anyone else tired of the before Christmas adverts with all the goodies we can buy to eat over the festivities all laden with fat and calories and now its all lean this lean that , be good to your self think of your heart and so on I think food adverts can be as bad as smoking or drinking, they are on at each ad break and they drive me nuts we now have Easter t look forward to in fact they've started already .
sorry rant over

I try to ignore them Chrissie.  After all they are only after our money!  The government tell us to lose weight because we are costing the bus too much money, then you get all these ads for McD' s and pizzas etc

And those companies now like diet chef, have you seen their prices?  £48.75 a WEEK for 3 meals and a snack!

£48.75!!!  I go to Lodge foods and get 5 Weight Watchers meals for £4, add extra veg or a big salad + easy peel  clems for £1 pack for a snack.

I watch very little TV and mostly record what I do watch so can skip all of the tempting ads. And yes we have to realise they are just out to get money out of us. And do not start me on so called multi buy bargains on cr*p foods.

I must say it is nice to record a programme, then be able to FF the adverts!  ;)
