According to Met O it's going to be 6 or 7C all night. If that's right why does the British Rail defroster engine keep going backwards and forwards over the points on the track at the bottom of the garden? 

I hope it stops before bedtime, cos it's making quite a racket, even with the double glazing

After a bit of early morning fog the clouds parted and the sun came shining through... a bit windy but I can live with that!

Thick fog this morning and it's never really gone away.   We were told it would clear and we would get rain this afternoon, never got that either.  It's just stayed grey, cold and miserable.
