Coldandwindy - you need to shop around for a better price. You should be able to get 16kg bags of Canadian for around £1 per kilo.

Would like to know where that's from please. 
We have been looking for other sources but can't find a cheaper one that wants to deliver to Highlands and Islands . (Those prices I quoted are including delivery to our door.)

I have now changed my supplier but for the discussion here are the prices at my old supplier

last month £1.46 / Kg
2 days ago £1.83 / Kg
today £2.29 / Kg

Someone cleverer (less lazy?) than me will tell you what that is as a percentage but methinks they are cashing in now its been in the news!

Just been doing my Waitrose and Asda next set of deliveries.
As I said above, I always add a few on alternate deliveries.
Asda own brand white and wholemeal bread flour was 60p for 1.5kg, added a few.
Waitrose was 75p, added a few.

Not that I buy any Canadian flour, but noticed Waitrose have their own brand Canadian white and wholemeal flour, 1.5kg at £1.80, so works out at £1.20 a kg.

Plus I can if I want get 50p off flour products with My Waitrose card, but chose to go for 50p and £2 off another item
