Title: Oak blocks

Hello I've been asked to dispose of some  redundant oak  blocks that are church bell headstocks, does anyone want them for turning  not for fire wood cant get photo to download to this site  size 30 inch ×12inch  ×5 inch    jezza

It would be helpful if you could give some indication of where about in the country they are, jezza.

Hello they're in East Yorkshire ,the bells have been removed for retuning and new cast steel headstocks  fitting    jezza

Jezza, I have a lovely chum in Macclesfield, and her partner is a very keen 'turner', and shows and sells all over The North!

I've sent her an email just now, so may get an answer! Can you hang on for them for a day or so?

I saved several great big chunks of 900year-old yew once, and they took them all the way home in a suitcase! The last lot were better carried in a van as there was a tidy pile of the stuff, thanks to some high winds a year or so ago...
