Ive been given a bag of unwanted tulip bulbs, im going to bung them in somewhere, but what are the chances of success this year?
-
I'd have thought slim. My tulips went in last autumn and I suspect they need the period of cold to help with their growth cycle. That being said, you never know ...
-
They should go in early autumn, so that the sun bakes the bulbs to get the best results. Put them in , you have nothing to lose but i would not expect any flowers this year.
-
Well, they'll die if not planted, give'em a chance :)
-
Plant them anyway so they'll stay in reasonable shape. It's far too late for this year but next year should give you some flowers.

Thanks guys,Ive stuck them in a coulple of pots and will see what happens.
