This year I have grown leeks and at the moment they are looking very good.

Can I eat now or would they be better after a few frosts.

The certainly need a long growing season so am planning on doing twice as many next year.

You can eat them now if you wish, but they are more valueable in the winter months when there's not so much around. While you have a good choice of veg, I'd hold back on them as it sounds like they won't last as long as you wish!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Depends what type of leek you have, some are autumn some are winter.

Doesn't matter.

If you're happy with the size of them, (and in the piccie supplied they look plenty big enough), you can eat them.

I'd still say hold them in reserve for Ron.

Later Ron.

Mine are pretty big as well, but I will be holding back, as I just love leek and potatoe soup, especially on those chilly days you get.
