composting infested produce??

composting infested produce??

As Ive posted elsewhere I have lost my complete tomato crop to botrytis!! :(.
I wasn't going to compost any of it, I was going to get rid as I wonder if the mould hangs around and didn't want any of my home made compost to carry spores into next year. Am I correct in this assumption??

I wouldn’t use it, chuck it on the bonfire if I was you
