DT Brown Seeds Ltd. Anyone had problems?

Has anyone else experienced the poor service from DT Brown Seeds Ltd? I placed an order on 7th January for seeds, potatoes and garlic. Still no potatoes and garlic and every week I call up the customer service people say "Sorry madam, we promise it will be with you this week for sure" and then nothing arrives.

Is the company in some sort of financial problem that they cannot ship out potatoes or garlic bulbs for 6 weeks or are they just incompetent?

Has anyone else had problems with them?

They had a big backlog because of the freezing weather - they just started clearing it and now it's back again. Seeds ordered in October only arrived a week or so ago - so you're at the back end of the list, I'm afraid. Most suppliers have been similarly affected.

Personally I wouldn't want to receive stuff that had spoiled because it has frozen en route.

I ordered Potatoes,Onion sets and Shallots on the 4th Jan they arrived last wednesday.
I checked each day online to see when they despatched them.

We use them regularly and have never had any problems. I think this year the weather has caused most of the trouble.

Our site uses DT Brown, have done for many a year, in fact we have used them before they went south, they used to be Poulton just down the road.

Our site orders went in end of Oct and we received our seeds in Nov without problems.

Local GC are having delays on seed spuds due to the weather.

Never had a problem with them, you might just have been unlucky, get in touch with customer service after you finally get delivery explain the issue and see what they offer you.

It's purely down to the weather conditions. Of all the seed company's, I trust dt browns more than any other and I order ALOT of seeds. Potatos and strawberry runners were delivered today. Last week I called to see when they would be dispatched and they told me middle of this week so that is fairly spot on in my book.
