Title: My New Veg Garden Progress Report. [Pics]

Brassiaca:
Notes: Some damage from Wood Pigeons, but fully netted now.

Chard:
B&Q tray of nearly dead plants, but recovered nicely (10p for 12 plants).

Dwarf French Beans:
Notes: Pot Grown.

Notes: First veg planted

Potatoes:
Early's:

Raspberry Autumn fruiting:
Notes: Dug up from an out of control patch at a friends house.
Planted too late to cut right back (I think), so only trimmed the top, so should get a early crop (if I read correctly).

Strawberry:
Notes: Doing really well, also dug up from an out of control patch at a friends house.

Also have growing:

- Carrots (two types)
- leaks from seed (very small)
- Beetroot (just come through)
- Red Current
- Black Current (green fly winning !)
- Gooseberry
- herbs in pots and mixed in garden flower beds.
- mix salad in pots
- lettuce in trays (not germinated yet)

that all looks fab and coming along really well

Please, please make sure your netting is taught so birds can't get fast in it.  Had to get one out last night from a plot  :(

Looks good.

Your 'dwarf French bean' is a broad bean though!

oops they are Dwarf Broad beans "The Sutton". These where another good find, 5p for 12plants, but had some black leafs and looked like they where about to die. Recovered but quite small.

looking really good - I am envious as I only have a single raised bed, a greenhouse and odd places in my borders to grow my fruit and veg. Mind you, it's surprising how much I cram in - potatoess in old compost sacks seem to be doing well, and my raised bed is bursting at the seams with salad crops. All we need now is a bit more sunshine!

Update:  1st week in June

Note: Established veg have taken off over the last few weeks!. No sign of my French beans yet, everything else has germinated and growing nicely.

 - Potatoes starting to flower
 - Strawberry's starting to develop nicely.
 - Summer Brassica are growing really big now!
 - Black current only just surviving the green fly and white fly
 - Red current doing really well lots of currents.
 - Carrots have lots of top grows but still only small-ish roots!
 - Autumn raspberries flowing and fruiting nicely.
 - Chard nice and heathly, steady growth.
